Day 1

Negombo 

On the day two, you can take a memorable Hamilton canal, Negombo fish market, Negombo lagoon and fishing village boat trip. The Hamilton Canal, originally constructed by the Dutch and later fortified by the British in 1802, being named after Gavin Hamilton, the then Government Agent of Revenue and Commerce.The first leg of this enjoyable cruise is on the placid waters of the historical Hamilton canal. Tour past the homes of the fisher families situated at the edge of the canal; get a glimpse of the adults at their various chores while little children playfully wave at the passing boats. Head straight for the Negombo Lagoon where the fresh fish market or “Lellama” is situated literally on the lagoon shores.

You can spot interesting wildlife like monkeys, water monitors and an abundant of birdlife such as Egrets, Herons Kingfishers and Cormorants eagerly waiting for their catch of fish. However the highlight of the tour is the Fishing Village where one observes the fisher folk preparing their nets for the next catch, see how the boats are launched to sea, the excess catch being washed and sun dried to be sold as 'dried fish' before having a brief chit-chat with the friendly fisher folk. If it's an early morning tour watch the catamarans coming in with the ocean's bounty; an awesome experience that promises some beautiful snapshots. After an exhilarating 2 hour tour, it's back to Negombo gliding across the beautiful Hamilton canal. Day 2

Negombo - Habarana 

On the day three of the tour, you will be transferred to Habarana. Habarana is a small city in Anuradhapura district, close to Dambulla and a centre for many tourist attractions in the area such as Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Minneriya etc. On this day you can visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest best-preserved cave-temple complex. Day 3

Habarana - Minneriya - Habarana 

Take a real village walk through the rustic rural community of Sigiriya and Habarana accompanied by an expert guide. It’s not merely a walk only but an authentic encounter with the local village folk; experiencing their lifestyles, their culture and their hospitality. By authentic we mean it’s a true village scenario, not one set up as a tourist attraction. In the afternoon, do a safari game drive in Minneriya national park which is renowned for its large herd of elephant gathering, a spectacular phenomenon during the long dry seasons when hundreds of elephants, sometimes numbering close to 200 (with some sightings claiming close to 700), can be seen feeding on the grasslands bordering the tank, with others cooling off in its refreshing water. This annual event, considered to be the largest wild elephant gathering in South Asia, attracts hundreds of tourist visitors who come to the park to observe and experience this unique wildlife spectacle.Overnight stay in Habarana.

Day 4

Habarana - Sigiriya - Habarana 

On this day you can do a guided bike ride. This can be done either through the jungle or village and climb UNESCO world heritage site of Sigiriya Rock Fortress, during the second half of the fifth century King Kasyapa made the rock plateau his royal residence and remains of the fortress’s extensive network still exist. The palace is surrounded by vast gardens, ponds, canals, alleys and fountains, with its western wall almost entirely covered in carefully painted frescoes depicting beautiful women, it is believed that the images are a celebration of the female form.Overnight stay in Habarana.

Day 5

Habarana - Polonnaruwa - Nilaveli 

You will be transferred to Nilaveli on this day. But before Nilaveli, visit Polonnaruwa ruined city en route. Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993. It comprises, besides the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century. Overnight stay in Nilaveli.

Day 6

Nilaveli 

Spend time lounging on the golden sand and swimming in the sparkling sea at Nilaveli Beach, one of Sri Lanka's most pristine beaches. The area's remoteness and swaying palm trees certainly give it an air of paradise, making it an ideal spot for a beach day. If you want to break up your day take a boat trip to Pigeon island, a marine national park just one kilometer off the mainland, where you can spend a few hours snorkeling among the colourful coral gardens that fill the shallows.

And every morning (April to October) cruise "Pearl" can be booked for a premium whale watching cruises for families, groups of friends or colleagues. At 6.30 am guests join pearl to set course to the whales. Along the way the chef will serve you a freshly prepared breakfast. The moment the guide spots the whale you will be invited to the front of the boat or the top level for the best views. After the whale watching will head towards the shore. Pear will anchor for a few hours in front of Koneshwaram temple, in back bay. There you can swim and snorkel to your heart's content after which the lunch will be served. At 1 PM start to sail back to Dutch bay

And optionally, You can book sunset cruise in every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM (April to October) starting from the public beach in Dutch bay the boat heads towards Koneshwaram temple for the sunset. Once the sun is down the chef will prepare the table and light the candles. It's the perfect setting for a swim. Aperitif is served at twilight with some delicious homemade bites and free cocktail. After that you will savour an exquisite seafood barbecue and the chef's desert

Day 7 - 8

Nilaveli - Kandy 

On this day, you will be transferred from Eastern coastal beach city to the centrally located beautiful holy city, Kandy. In Kandy, pay your tribute to the Lord Buddha's Temple of the Tooth Relic. Kandy is the most venerated and the most important religious place for Sinhala Buddhist community. The tooth, reputed to be one of the Buddha's, is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 9

Kandy 

On this day you can have a unique experience of cooking a traditional meal with a local family. This starts with shopping at a traditional market where the guests participate in purchasing the foodstuffs required for the cooking exercise. Fresh veggies, meats, spices and herbs are purchased before leaving for the wattle and daub cottage in the rural village of Kobbekaduwa in Kandy.

At the cottage guests are warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink of fresh king-coconut water or fresh fruit juice. Thereafter the food preparation begins in the traditional kitchen with the guests helping in the cleaning and chopping of veggies, scraping freshly broken coconut on a traditional scraper, pounding the herbs on a stone mortar and grinding the spices on a flat rock grinder. Learn how to extract the coconut milk by hand, how to finely shred green leaves (without wounding your fingers) and how to kindle a traditional wooden hearth; be enticed by the aroma of the dishes as it cooks in terracotta clay pots over a traditional wood fire. All this happens while the host explains the method of preparation of these true Sri Lankan dishes while taking care to maintain the freshness and nutritive value and at the same time bringing out the subtle flavors and customary taste. Day 10

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya 

Take a journey from Kandy through the rolling tea estates of the Hill Country to Sri Lanka's 'Little England', NuwaraEliya (City of Lights) with its breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery, and temperate climate, was a favorable escape for the English and Scottish pioneers of Sri Lanka's tea industry. Once you arrived in NuwaraEliya you can get an experience of tea plucking with the local women and how the tea manufacturing process is going on in a tea estate and factory. Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains - Ella 

Visit Horton Plains national park which is a biodiversity hot spot in Sri Lanka, a scenic area of vast grassy montane plains surrounded by a cloud forest. The climate differs from the rest of Sri Lanka and comprises a misty and rain swept landscape whose cool, wet climate has created the growth of a unique but fragile ecosystem. Day 12

Ella 

Ella is a small town in the Hill country but has a major tourist attraction because of it's rich bio- diversity. Ella is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. The town has a cooler climate than surrounding lowlands, due to its elevation. The Ella Gap allows views across the southern plains of Sri Lanka. Ella - Yala 

Be driven through the scenic landscape of the hill country and travel through the countryside towards the dry zone of southern Sri Lanka, finally reaching your destination of Yala National Park. Yala - Talalla 

On this day, you will be transferred from Yala toone of the finest beaches on the southern coastal line of the island, Talalla.
